Georgia Bulldogs and Outkast Team Up for Atlanta Game Collection

Georgia and Florida meet in Atlanta on October 31, the first time the football rivalry has been played there. Nike and the design label Class Trip are marking the occasion with a limited apparel and on-field collection that blends University of Georgia iconography with the look of the hip-hop duo Outkast.

Why the Game Matters

The Georgia-Florida game has been played in Jacksonville since 1933, so this year's move north is a notable break from tradition. According to the source material, the collaboration grew out of a lunch conversation between Class Trip founder Brian Francis and André 3000, who described driving to Athens to watch the Bulldogs. The partners framed the project as a tribute to Atlanta, the city that gave Outkast its platform.

How the Collection Was Built

Nike and Class Trip drew references from the personal wardrobes of André 3000 and Big Boi over the years, then worked with the Outkast and University of Georgia teams to merge the two identities. The central mark combines the Georgia G with Outkast's crown. A script reading "University of Georgia, Outkast 1996" and the number 96 appear across the pieces, referencing the year Outkast released ATLiens. Creative Director Jon Tietz said the team aimed for a look that felt as timeless as the music, drawing on the contrast between the duo's two distinct styles.

  • Outerwear: a red wool varsity jacket with black leather sleeves and chenille patches
  • Jerseys: cropped mesh practice cut and heavyweight cotton retro versions, both marked "96"
  • Casual wear: rugby shirts, a satin bomber, a fleece hoodie, graphic T-shirts and caps
  • On-field gear: eye-shield decals, skullcaps, wristbands, mouthguards and gloves for Georgia athletes and staff

Launch Dates and Campaign

The Outkast U collection launches October 27 through SNKRS, Class Trip and select Nike retail partners in Atlanta, with the full range following October 28 on the Nike website and at selected stores. A game-day pop-up is planned at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on October 31. The campaign was shot in Athens over the summer with six Nike NIL athletes, who recreated familiar frames from Outkast's photo history.

Because the collection is limited, buyers should check the retailers named in the announcement for current stock and sizing rather than assuming availability at every outlet. The source material does not list prices, so readers should confirm those directly with sellers.
